SSP Rail appointed AGGORA to maintain the majority of the estates catering equipment maintenance 3 years ago. AGGORA moved quickly to understand the specific requirements of our business and the specialist nature of gaining access to them.
AGGORA took the initiative and invested time and effort undertaking the process of obtaining annual permits from Network Rail and all other TOCs (Train Operating Companies) to allow quick unobstructed access to our units. AGGORA are one of only a few contractors who have spent the time to ensure they can gain quickly access our units, which is essential to our requirement and has proactively reduced waiting times for equipment repairs.
Since the start, SSP Rail have consistently worked with AGGORA to identify poor performing items of equipment to report back to the buying teams and assist in the development of planned maintenance strategies in an effort to minimise reactive spend on critical items of equipment – where these tasks have been undertaken a significant reduction has been noted in both breakdown and spend.
SSP Rail will continue to work with AGGORA to move both businesses forward in a constant effort to reduce down times of equipment and consistently deliver value for money.
